Meet Christine Sarmiento
Christine Sarmiento is a Public Health Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing, Leadership & Management, and 14 years as an operations manager in private business. She led a mass vaccination site under the Incident Command System with a team of 300, serving 3,000 community members daily.
An immigrant who came to this country at 18 and is raising five boys here, she is running to help El Monte meet its full potential: a transparent government, a healthy community, and a strong local economy.
“I’ve led teams in business, emergencies, and healthcare. I bring a manager’s discipline, a nurse’s ethics, and a mother’s devotion. I’ll bring all of it with me to City Hall.”
